Following a failed career attempt as a ski shop manager in Breckenridge, Jon began his financial vocation in 2007 at Bank of America. He held various leadership roles in banking, lending, underwriting, and ultimately private wealth management. In 2012, he joined longtime friend Patrick Poling at Merrill Lynch to form what would go on to become Southern Oak Wealth.

Jon has a unique depth and variety of expertise that helps our team maintain a constant eye on the larger picture. He focuses on optimization of cash flows, debt management, specialized retirement planning, and charitable strategies for business owners and High Net Worth families.

A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Jon lives in Brentwood with his wife, Stephanie, and their two sons, Breck & Jackson. When he’s not coaching youth sports, he enjoys spending time with his family at Center Hill Lake or on ski slopes across North America.
